Dear Biblical University Alumni Family,

We hope this message finds you all healthy and thriving in these pleasant times. Biblical University is fortunate enough to have you as members and officers of the alumni who are ready, willing, and able to serve.

For four years, since 2018 the Alumnus Alumna Association a.k.a BU Alumni & Friends has shown a consistent devotion of time, talents, and treasures in service of the Biblical University community. Countless lives have been enhanced because of the BU Alumni & Friends, which speaks to the dedication of the alumni family. Our alumni donors and volunteers consider their efforts to serve the Biblical University community a labor of love and that is what makes our alumni family special.

It is our hope that we not only continue to grow as a family, but that we continue to flourish while serving every student and the interest of the University. The commitment to the BU community will undoubtedly produce a vast number of alumni who will continue the legacy for the years ahead!

Upon the expiration of the maximum four-year term in February 14th, 2022, the new officers shall be appointed and unveil in due course. The Immediate past officers shall stay on as members and act as a guide for the new officers.

No past officers may be re-appointed for a further term of four years upon the expiration of the maximum

We encourage you to avail yourself of any of the many vacancies including: Alumni President - Global Alumni Ambassador GAA, Alumni Vice President, Secretary to the Alumni, Alumni Special Adviser, Alumni Relations Officer.

Policies and by-laws of the Alumni

Role of the Biblical University Alumni Family in the University development:
1. Improve student recruitment efforts
Alumni can encourage students especially their family and friends to consider their university as the provider of higher education.

2. Increase efforts in collecting funds
An active alumni association can encourage greater collection of funds enabling the establishment of scholarships, supporting students’ activities, assisting in establishment of infrastructure and support innnovative improvements at the University. 

Tenure of Officers
A maximum of four-year term

Removal from office
1. Any officer, who misses two (2) consecutive meetings of the Executive Committee during the Biblical University Convocation, including regular and special meetings, without a reasonable cause as determined by the University shall be removed and the position declared vacant by the University
2. Officers on non-active status on the Alumni platform for the period of 12 calendar months shall be removed from office
3. Officers will cease to hold office if he/she; resigns, commits criminal offence, rebels, recommended for removal from office for misconducts by Governing Board of the Biblical University

Resignation
1. Any officer may resign upon giving the Biblical University notice of at least three months. However, when an officer's unexplained absence from the platform activities exceeds 12 calendar months, he/she shall be considered to have resigned from the Alumni and his/her service within the Alumni shall be deemed to have ceased on the completion of 12 months non active status
2. When an officer sleeps in the Lord, the officers appointment shall be considered as terminated on the last day of the month of his/her death.

Membership Meeting
The Alumnus Alumna Association a.k.a BU Alumni & Friends membership meeting will be held during the Biblical University Convocation or meet more if necessary. Notice of the meeting will be provided to all members at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting.

The agenda for the meeting will include the appointment of officers, financial report, collective support for Biblical University, speech by the President, and such other business as may be brought before the meeting.
