What is LIFE AND WORK EXPERIENCE/CAREER/
MINISTRY DEGREE Or Experiential Learning Degree(ELD) credit?
Biblical University believes that your experience in the ministry and service to the Lord is valuable spiritually and academically. If you qualify, you can receive up to 30 credit-hours toward an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s). Examples of qualifying ministry life experience include, but are not limited to, preaching or teaching within the local church (adult services or classes, youth services, children’s services), ministry outside the local church (evangelistic meetings, prison ministry, nursing home ministry) and media ministry (television, radio and internet). Some activity described as ministry of helps may also qualify based on level of involvement, length of service, degree of preparation and study required.

Applicants aged 30 years and above must be able to read and write in English.

*Note: Biblical University does not accept Experiential Learning Degree(ELD) toward a postgraduate degree (Master/Doctoral).
Submit application form along with a complete and professional resume describing all career/ministry experiences and positions held. Include any formal or informal training in which you participated that was related to your career/ministry activities.
All candidates must submit Experiential Learning Essay to obtain a degree.
Experiential Learning Essay may not exceed 15,000 - 20,000 words or 50 pages. An oral examination takes place after the thesis has been submitted.
How to write and submit your Experiential Learning Essay
1. Choose a topic from your field of experience
2. Essay must be written and submitted and follow these guidelines:
*It must be written in the first person.
*The personal experience used in writing Experiential Learning Essay must have occurred post secondary school
*Use 12-point, Times New Roman font and double-space the document.
*The topic must represent your personal experience — not history, research, observation or the experience of a third party. The essay should demonstrate a high level of expertise.

3. Submit a 1,500–2,100 word autobiography written in the first person.
4. Submit supporting documentation along with your essay as evidence that your experience resulted in the level of expertise portrayed in your essay. Acceptable documents include photocopies of licenses and certifications, as well as letters on church letterhead with official signatures from employers, and letters of recommendation.
